31st - Early morning 2 Wood Sandpipers, 2 Common and 1 Green, also 2 Ruff, 42 Dunlin, 1 Greenshank, 12 Blk T Godwits, 7 Redshank and 2 Corn Buntings. GG. Afternoon additions were 4 Golden Plover, 1 Sandwich Tern, Juv Marsh Harrier. GG/KA/JBS. 2 LRP's. JBS.
29th - Only 1 Curlew Sandpiper seen today, also 2 Wood, 8 Green and 2 Common Sandpipers, 7+ LRP's, 2 Ruff, 1 Greenshank, 26 Dunlin, 16 Blk T Godwits, 1 Golden Plover, a 2nd summer Med Gull and 8 Sandwich Terns. SC/PRD/CJ.
28th - Afternoon, Sandpipers still plentifull wth 2 Curlew, 2-3 Wood, 8+ Green and 3 Common. Blk T Godwits now up to 22 along with 4 LRP juv's, 2 Ruff and 18 Dunlin, a single Hobby and the first returning Wheatears x 2. PRD.
27th - Most of yesterday birds still present, plus a couple of extra's, 2 Curlew Sandpipers, 2 Wood Sandpipers , 3 Ruff, 6+ Green & 4 Common Sandpipers, 2 Greenshank, 11 Blk T Godwits and 14 Dunlin. GG/PB. Evening, additions being 1 Snipe, 5 Ringed Plovers, Blk T Godwits numbers up to 17 and 5 Redshank. JBS/KA.
26th - Both Curlew Sandpipers present, also 2 Wood Sandpipers, 1 Ruff, 6+ Green & 4 Common Sandpipers, 1 Greenshank, 11 Blk T Godwits and 6 Dunlin. GG/SC/KA. Evening - 4 LRP's incl 2 juveniles, a grey Harrier speicies flew W, probable Montagu's male. GG
25th - 2 Curlew Sandpipers still present, 2 Ruff, 5 Green & 4 Common Sandpipers, 2 Greenshanks, 9 Blk T Godwits, 3 Sandwich Terns, 8 Dunlin, a summer plumage Grey Plover flew S. GG
24th - 2 moulting adult Curlew Sandpipers, 1 Ruff, 1 Green and 3 Common Sandpipers, 2 Greenshanks, 12+ (21) Blk TGodwits, 5 Sandwich Terns, 1 Little Owl, 2 Corn Bunting and juv Cuckoo were seen. SC/PC+PB. Aslo 5 Dunlin and a single Whimbrel. KA. Evening visit produced, 10+ Green Sandpipers, 6+ Common Sandpipers, 3 Ruff and 3 Common Tern's by the sluice, but no futher sign of the Curlew Sandpipers. JBS
22nd - Early morning, 3 brief Little Egrets. JBS.Also 3 Ruff, 4 Green and 4 Common Sandpipers, 1 Greenshank, 9 Blk T Godwits. JBS/GG. One Whimbrel flew NW, a singing Corn Bunting and juv Cuckoo were also seen. GG. The juv Marsh Harrier was again reported.
21st - An adult Pectoral Sandpiper was present for the morning only, also 2 Whimbrel, 2 Ruff, 3 Common, 1 Green Sandpiper, 14 Blk T Godwits, 4 Dunlin, 3 Sandwich Terns, a female Marsh Harrier flew W. GG/KA/AEC. At the sluice a 1st summer Med Gull. GG.
20th - 1 Common Sandpiper, 9 Blk T Godwits, 4 Dunlin on the scrape, 5 Sandwich Terns at sea. GG. This afternoon a Great Skua, adult Kittiwake and imm Gannet all flew N, on the scrape were 17 Blk T Godwits, 2 Green and 2 Common Sandpipers, 7 Dunlin, 1 Whimbrel dropped in for a brief visit. GG
19th - 3 Greenshank briefly, 1 Common and 1 Green Sandpiper, 2 Dunlin, 6 Blk T Godwits, 2 Sandwich Terns. JBS. Evening - 4 Green Sandpiper, 3 Common Sandpiper, 6 Dunlin and 6 Blk T Godwits. PRD
18th - 1 Ruff, 7 Blk T Godwits, 2 Commnon Sandpipers and 3 Sandwich Terns on the scrape, noticable increase in Yellow Wagtails with at least 10 birds again. PB/VB + GG. Late evening 1 Curlew Sandpiper, 3 Greenshank, 3 Common and 2 Green Sandpipers, 1 Ruff, 2 Dunlin, 13 Blk T Godwits and 2 Sandwich Terns. JBS
17th - On the scrape, 5 Blk T Godwits, 2 Commnon Sandpipers and 5 Sandwich Terns. GG.
16th - 1 Green Sandpiper on approach road mud, on the scrape 5 Blk T Godwits, 1 Common Sandpiper, 2 Common Terns, 10+ Yellow Wagtails. GG. Also 1 Greenshank, Marsh Harrier, 2nd Summer Med Gull, on the beach a pair of Ringed Plover with 2 very large chicks. SC/PC
15th - 5 Sandwich Terns on the scrape early am, also 1 Little Owl and juv Marsh Harrier still. JBS. Later 6 Blk T Godwits, 4 Dunlin, at sea 4 Common Scoters and 1 Ad Kittiwake flew S. PRD/CJ.
14th - 1 Wood Sandpiper, 1 LRP, 1 Ruff, also 1 Green & 1 Common Sandpiper all on the scrape. JBS
13th - 1 Juvenile Marsh Harrier over the hide. PRD
12th - 1 Greenshank, 28 Blk T Godwits, 11 Sandwich Terns and 2 Dunlin on the scrape, 1 Common Tern fishing at the sluice. GG
Late afternoon, 3 juvenile LRP's, 35 Blk T Godwits, 2 Greenshanks, 1 Ruff, 7+ Sandwich Terns on the scrape. 1 Bar T Godwit and 1 Common Scoter flew S. GG
11th - 1 Greenshank, 1 Blk T Godwit and 7 Sandwich Terns on the scrape in the evening. PRD.
Also news of a female Stonechat that was rescued from a cat.It was taken to a Wildlife Hospital where it subsequently died. SC
8th - 1 Greenshank, 1 Green Sandpiper on approach road mud, 1 Ruff, 1 Blk T Godwit on the scrape. JBS. Also 1 Common Sandpiper and 1 1st Summer Med Gull. PRD
7th - 2 Ad Med Gulls, 4 Sanwich Terns, 2 Ruff, 1 Common Sandpiper, 7+ Blk T Godwits. GG
6th - 1 Greenshank, 2 Blk T Godwits, 1 Ruff, 1 Common Sandpiper on the scrape. GG
4th - 1 1st Summer Med Gull, 1 Sandwich Tern on the scrape. JBS Evening, 1 female Ruff, 15+ Gadwall, 10 Teal. PRD
3rd - Turtle Dove and juvenile Cuckoo around the Sewage Farm, also 4 Sandwich Terns on the scrape. GG
2nd - 4 Green Sandpiper on approach road mud, 1 Ad Med Gull and 2 Sandwich Tern amongst the scrape gulls, a Black Tern flew SW also 3 further Sandwich Tern, 3 Whimbrel and Ad Gannet flew S. GG
1st - Scrape,1 Greenshank, 3 Sand Martins, 50+ House Martins, aslo 2 Whimbrel flew S. PRD
